Randolph Hospital is in a post-confirmation liquidation posture, but the estate remains open because the plan has not yet been substantially consummated and the Liquidation Trustee is still reviewing claims, evaluating potential avoidance or adversary actions, and pursuing a large remaining receivable, with a final report projected for the second quarter of 2026 in the 1Q26 Consummation Report Dkt. 1407. The case began when the nonprofit Randolph Health system filed chapter 11 on March 6, 2020, after entering the case with a hospital operating platform and a secured debt structure that included a $24 million Bank of America term-loan claim maturing shortly before the petition date, secured by pledged accounts, Master Trust Indenture proceeds, and substantially all real property, as reflected in the voluntary petition Dkt. 1 and the debtor’s cash-collateral exhibit Dkt. 36. The restructuring then moved onto a plan track, with the debtor filing an amended disclosure statement in July 2021 that incorporated the secured term-loan treatment and the broader creditor recovery framework in the Amended Disclosure Statement Dkt. 914.
