VWS Holdco converted to Chapter 7
The court converted VWS Holdco, Inc. and its affiliated Chapter 11 cases to Chapter 7 effective immediately on July 31, shifting control from debtor-led Chapter 11 administration to a Chapter 7 liquidation process under a trustee. The conversion order also requires a debtor representative, and counsel if requested by the Chapter 7 trustee, to appear at the creditors’ meeting and testify under sections 341(a) and 343.
The same day, the court also granted a venue transfer to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia through the venue transfer order. For professionals tracking recoveries, claims strategy, or estate administration, the case is no longer a Chapter 11 restructuring track: the next phase is trustee-led liquidation and administration in Virginia, with prior Chapter 11 orders preserved unless later modified.
