Braskem’s U.S. Chapter 15 case remains in its recognition and provisional-relief phase, with a status conference scheduled for August 25 and the foreign representative seeking expedited consideration of an extension of provisional relief. The case is centered on the Brazilian court-supervised mediation of Braskem and affiliated debtors, rather than a U.S. plan confirmation or sale process. Antonio Reinaldo Rabelo Filho commenced the U.S. proceeding on June 26, seeking recognition of the São Paulo proceeding as a foreign main proceeding.
