iM3NY LLC was a pre-revenue lithium-ion battery manufacturer developing giga-scale battery cells for grid energy storage at its facility in Endicott, New York. The company, founded in 2017 as a joint venture including Magnis Energy Technologies and Charge CCCV (C4V), filed for Chapter 11 protection on January 27, 2025 in Delaware (Case No. 25-10131) after technical and production challenges delayed commercialization and depleted liquidity. At filing, the company carried $125.8 million in secured debt held by HSBC Bank PLC and approximately $10 million in unsecured trade debt, with cumulative net operating losses of $142.6 million. HSBC provided DIP financing of $2.5 million in new money plus a $15 million roll-up. The Debtors conducted a 363 sale process, selling substantially all assets to Musashi Auto Parts Michigan, Inc. for $10 million cash. The sale closed on April 4, 2025, and the case was dismissed on June 26, 2025.
