Court closes Ambri liquidation case after final decree
The court entered a final decree closing Old Mbria Inc.'s chapter 11 case and ending the remaining court-supervised wind-down. The Final Decree Order closes the case effective on entry, terminates Epiq Corporate Restructuring LLC's claims-agent engagement after final administrative handoff tasks, and gives the Plan Administrator 30 days to file any remaining post-confirmation reports and pay any outstanding U.S. Trustee fees.
The closure followed the Plan Administrator's request to wrap the case after claims and distributions were substantially complete. In the Final Decree Motion, the Plan Administrator said it had reconciled about 15 claims totaling more than $54.5 million, made distributions to participating general unsecured creditors, liquidated remaining assets, and retained an $80,000 reserve for final tasks including tax returns, final distributions, and termination procedures. The May 1 omnibus hearing was then cancelled because the court had already granted the requested relief, as reflected in the hearing cancellation notice.
