Samson Resources Corporation is a Tulsa, Oklahoma-headquartered independent onshore oil and gas exploration and production company with approximately 1.6 million net acres and interests in roughly 8,700 production sites across Colorado, Louisiana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming. The company generated average daily production of approximately 530 million cubic feet equivalents in 2014 and employs approximately 600 people. Founded in 1971 by Charles Schusterman, Samson was acquired in 2011 by a KKR-led investor group for approximately $7.2 billion.
