Final decree closes the Fairway Chapter 11 cases
The court entered a final decree closing Fairway Group Holdings Corp.'s Chapter 11 cases after the reorganized debtors sought closure of the remaining administered estates. The order granted the reorganized debtors' final-decree request, ending active bankruptcy-court administration nearly eight years after the 2016 filing and following cancellation of the related hearing after no-objection activity on the application. See the Final Decree Closing the Chapter 11 Cases and the underlying Application for Final Decree.
For restructuring professionals, the update matters because it moves the case from post-confirmation administration into closed-case status: remaining monitoring should shift away from ordinary docket activity and toward any retained-jurisdiction disputes, enforcement issues, or later reopening requests rather than ongoing plan implementation milestones.
