Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian gold mining company that held concession rights to develop Las Cristinas, one of the world's largest undeveloped gold deposits, in Bolívar state, Venezuela. Formerly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: KRY), Crystallex advanced the project until Venezuela revoked its operating permit in 2011. The company subsequently obtained a $1.202 billion ICSID arbitration award against Venezuela in April 2016 under the Canada-Venezuela bilateral investment treaty, later confirmed as a U.S. federal judgment of approximately $1.4 billion.
