KidKraft, Inc., a Farmers Branch, Texas maker of wood-based play products, filed a voluntary prepackaged Chapter 11 case on May 10, 2024 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas (Dallas Division) (Case No. 24-80045-mvl11). The restructuring was designed to complete a going-concern sale to Backyard Products, LLC under section 363 on an expedited timetable supported by a restructuring support agreement. The company entered the case with approximately $151.9 million of funded debt and obtained DIP financing from 1903 Partners, LLC (a Gordon Brothers affiliate) consisting of up to $10.5 million of delayed-draw new money and an approximately $23.3 million roll-up.
