Trustee receives year-end runway for claims objections
The court extended the DSI Winddown Liquidation Trustee’s claims-objection deadline through December 31, 2026, replacing the July 20 deadline and preserving the trustee’s ability to seek another extension. The claims-objection extension order became effective immediately, resolving the motion before the July 23 hearing.
Joshua Nahas told the court that approximately 639 filed or scheduled claims required final review and reconciliation before distributions could be made to Liquidation Trust beneficiaries. The trustee said the process was nearing completion and that a distribution was expected in the near future, but requested additional time to ensure only valid claims share in available assets. The extension motion therefore gives the winddown more than five additional months to resolve claims, while leaving distribution timing dependent on completion of that work.
