MF Global Holdings Ltd. is a Bermuda-incorporated global brokerage and financial derivatives firm, spun out of Man Group in 2007, that gave clients access to more than 70 exchanges worldwide. Operating as both a futures commission merchant and securities broker-dealer, it handled commodities, listed derivatives, fixed income, equities, and foreign exchange, and was one of 20 primary dealers with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. MF Global had about 50,000 active futures customer accounts and operations across the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Japan, and Singapore.
