The U.S. Trustee amended the unsecured trade creditors committee for Pace Industries after Shapiro Sales Company dba Shapiro Metals resigned, leaving Commercial Metals Company and Real Alloy as the two appointed members. The original April 24 notice had named three trade creditors, including Shapiro, but the amended filing three days later removed Shapiro and identified the committee as Commercial Metals Company and Real Alloy only, according to the original committee appointmentDkt. 105 and amended committee appointmentDkt. 108.
The shift matters because committee composition sets the organized unsecured-creditor voice at the start of the case. A two-member trade-creditor committee narrows the creditor constituency formally positioned to negotiate with the debtors, monitor sale or financing activity, and retain professionals at estate expense.
