Valves and Controls US, Inc.’s asbestos liquidation is contested over a proposed $17 million contribution from Weir for releases of estate claims, described in Weir’s October 13, 2026 settlement joinder Dkt. 744. The next material decision is whether to approve that settlement; the court’s October 15 discovery ruling Dkt. 753 ordered additional document production, permitted further testimony, and called for coordination of the hearing schedule.
